Fisher German IT Equipment Abroad
New Policy for Using Company IT Equipment Abroad
As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing security and protecting sensitive company information, we have implemented a new policy regarding the use of company IT equipment (such as work laptops and mobile devices) while travelling abroad. This policy is designed to help safeguard our organization’s data and minimize the risk of security breaches.
Line Manager Approval Requirement
Before taking any company-issued IT equipment (laptop or mobile device) abroad, you must obtain approval from your line manager. This ensures that your travel plans align with both business needs and security protocols.
Security Measures and Access Restrictions:
Please be aware that some company systems and data may have restricted access while abroad. These limitations are put in place as an additional layer of defence to protect against potential security threats and to reduce the risk of unauthorized access or data leaks.
Guidelines for Using Work Mobiles Abroad
-
Wi-Fi Connections: When using your work mobile abroad, prioritize Wi-Fi over data roaming. This helps avoid unexpected roaming charges.
-
Data Usage: Be mindful of your data usage and avoid unnecessary roaming fees.
Notice Period for Access Requests
If you require access to company resources while abroad, please submit your request at least 3 to 5 days before your departure. This lead time allows us to check whether the country you are visiting is listed in our systems and ensures that we can appropriately grant you the necessary access.
