Syncing Outlook Contacts with Android Using the Outlook App
Sync contacts using the Outlook app
The Outlook app for Android provides a seamless way to manage your Outlook account, including email, calendar, and contacts. This guide will walk you through the process of syncing your Outlook contacts to your Android device, making them easily accessible in the default Contacts app.
If you haven’t installed the Outlook app yet, follow these steps:
-
Go to the Google Play Store on your Android device.
-
Search for "Outlook" and tap Install to download the app.
Once installed, open the app and sign in using your Fisher German Email account.
First of all, you'll need to give Outlook permission to access your contacts; this prevents Outlook contacts from syncing with Android. Once permissions have been given, you can sync your contacts to make them available in the Contacts app on your Android.
Grant Permissions to Outlook for Accessing Contacts
Open the Settings app on your Android device.
Scroll down and tap Apps (or Applications depending on your device).
Find and tap Outlook in the list of installed apps.

Tap Permissions.
Under the Contacts section, tap Allow.

Now that you have granted the necessary permissions, you can proceed to sync your contacts from Outlook to Android.
Open the Outlook app on your Android device.
Tap the Microsoft Office icon in the top-left corner of the screen.

Tap the gear icon to access the Settings menu.
Select the Outlook account from which you want to sync contacts.
Toggle the Sync Contacts option to enable the sync.

Once the sync is complete, you will be able to view your Outlook contacts in the default Contacts app on your Android device.
