Using FortiClient VPN for Secure Remote Access

FortiClient VPN is a software application that enables secure connections between your device and the Fisher German network. This application utilizes Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology to encrypt all data transmitted between your computer and the remote network, ensuring that information remains private and protected from interception. FortiClient VPN allows you to access shared files and internal systems while working remotely, such as from home or other locations outside of Fisher German offices
FortiClient Installation
FortiClient VPN is automatically installed on all Fisher German laptops. You can access the application through the following methods:

Desktop Shortcut: FortiClient can be found on your desktop.

Windows Search: Search for "FortiClient" in the Windows search bar.

Menu Tray: You can also launch it from the system tray in the menu.
Logging In to FortiClient VPN
FortiClient VPN uses Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication, which is linked to your Fisher German Microsoft account. Follow these steps to log in:
Open the FortiClient application.
Click the "SAML Login" button to proceed with authentication.
Enter your Fisher German email address and your login password.
Complete the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) process when prompted.
Once MFA is successfully completed, FortiClient will establish a secure connection to the VPN, granting you access to Fisher German’s network and shared resources.
