How to Change Your Password
To maintain strong cybersecurity protection, it is essential to regularly update your Fisher German password. You will receive daily alerts, both on your desktop and via email, when your password is nearing expiration. It is important to ensure that the password is updated before it expires, especially when working remotely.
Please follow the instructions below to change your password when prompted.
Changing Your Password in the Office
Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete on your keyboard.

Select Change a password from the options displayed.

- Enter your current password.
- Enter a new password (minimum 14 characters).
- Re-enter the new password to confirm, then click OK to complete the change.
- To lock your laptop, press Ctrl + L. Then, log back in with your newly updated credentials.
Changing your password while working from home
To change your password while working from home, ensure that you are logged into FortiClient (the company’s VPN). If you are unsure how to log in to FortiClient, please refer to the VPN setup guide.
Once connected to the VPN, follow these steps:
- Log into FortiClient using your current username and password.

- Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete on your keyboard.

- Select Change a password.

- Enter your current password.
- Enter a new password (minimum 14 characters).
- Re-enter the new password to confirm, then click OK to complete the change.
- To lock your laptop, press Ctrl + L, then log in again with your newly set password.
After Changing Your Password
Once the password is reset, you will be prompted to re-enter your new credentials in various applications, including Teams, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
