Mobile Device Setup and Enrollment Guide
A Step-by-Step Guide for Configuring and Enrolling Your New Business Mobile Device
This guide provides comprehensive instructions for enrolling and setting up a new corporate mobile device, ensuring it is fully configured for business use. From transferring data such as photos and WhatsApp chat history, to connecting to Wi-Fi and installing essential business applications, every step has been outlined for optimal device setup. The guide also includes details on configuring email, security settings, and the installation of corporate apps. Should issues arise during the process, IT support is available via the helpdesk.
Prerequisites Before Using Your New Phone
Before proceeding with the setup, ensure all necessary data transfers from your old device, such as photos and WhatsApp chat history, are completed. If these are not required, proceed to the next section.
Open OneDrive
Launch the OneDrive app and tap ‘Me’ located on the bottom-right of the screen.
Next, tap ‘Settings’ to proceed.

Enable Camera Upload

Tap ‘Camera Upload’ and ensure the settings are configured to upload using both Wi-Fi and mobile data.

After verifying, tap ‘Additional Folders’ and ensure the folder settings align with the provided example.

Navigate back to the ‘Me’ screen and tap ‘Photos.’

Any photos set to be backed up will display a phone icon at the bottom-right. Periodically check until the backup process is complete.

WhatsApp Backup and Transfer
Open WhatsApp and select the three ellipses located at the top right-hand side.

Tap ‘Settings’

Tap ‘Chats’

Tap ‘Chat Backup’

Verify the ‘Google Account’ section. If an account is populated, contact IT support at helpdesk@fishergerman.co.uk.

Tap ‘Backup’ to start the process. The timestamp will reflect when the backup was completed.

To Transfer and Restore your WhatsApp backup to your new device please contact helpdesk@fishergerman.co.uk to organise a timeslot to do this. You will need to have a stable Wi-Fi connection during this process.
Unpackaging your new Phone
On the left side of the packaging, flip the smaller Samsung box to reveal the SIM pin. The right side contains your new device, which comes with a screen protector pre-installed.


Use the SIM pin to open the SIM tray at the top of the device.
Remove the SIM from your old device and insert it into the new phone’s SIM tray, then reinsert the tray into the phone.


Press and hold the power button located on the right-hand side of the device to turn it on. The larger button controls volume.

Enrollment Process
Upon powering on, wait for the device to transition to the next screen. Do not be alarmed if the language changes briefly.

Press the blue button and select ‘English (United Kingdom)’ from the options, then tap the blue ‘Next’ button.


Read and agree to the end-user license agreement by selecting ‘I have read and agree to all of the above,’ then tap ‘Next.’

Connect to the ‘FGLLP-Guest’ network or your home Wi-Fi. This step is essential for completing the enrollment process.

Allow Knox Enrollment

Tap ‘Accept & Continue’ and then ‘Next.




Enter your Fisher German email address

Enter your Fisher German email address again, followed by your password (the same one used to log in to your laptop/desktop). Tap ‘Sign In.’


Error Troubleshooting: If you encounter an error, visit the specified link and enter your credentials. Tap ‘Retry’ after completing the verification process.
Microsoft Office Setup
Tap ‘Continue’ through the Microsoft Office Home prompts, agreeing to all terms as required.

Tap ‘Pin’

When prompted, set a 6 digit PIN, confirming it twice. Tap ‘Done’ when complete.


Ensure your device is in compliance by tapping the refresh icon, then press the home button to complete the process.
